The Catholic University of Korea News

"The Catholic University of Korea Newspaper," the only integrated media outlet at The Catholic University of Korea, launched its first issue on March 28, 1995, continuing the legacy and spirit of accurate and honest journalism from the newspapers that were previously published at the university's three campuses: the College of Theology (Songsin Campus), University of the Sacred Heart (Songsim Campus), and the College of Medicine (Songeui Campus). Serving as the focal point of communication within the university, the Catholic University of Korea Newspaper operates directly under the Office of the President, with the university president overseeing its publication and a supervising professor participating in the production and editing process. The newspaper is managed by a third-year editor-in-chief, who oversees the News, Society, and Culture sections, while a separate editorial committee, composed of domestic faculty members, works tirelessly to ensure high-quality newspaper production.

The CUK Forum

The CUK Forum publishes English news magazine, "THE FORUM" as an official English journal of CUK and delivers internal and external news on campus with social issues in English through its official website. The CUK Forum deals with the entire process of publishing English news magazines including English article writing, editing, designing layout and traning session on journalism writing for new CUF reporters. The CUK Forum features a variety of topics and categories icluding 'CUK Life' covering stories about CUK students and major issues on campus, 'Social Issues' addressing internal and external major social issues and 'Review' analyzing some meaningful movies and books for readers through English articles. The CUK Forum persues to offer students opportunites to reflect on various social issues and consider them such as internal and external issues on campus, politics, society, economy and culture all in English through The CUK Forum.

Catholic University of Korea Broadcasting Station (CUBS)

The Catholic University of Korea Broadcasting Station (CUBS) has been delivering key campus news and working to build a rapport with students since its establishment in May 1979. CUBS consists of several departments: Announcing, Production, News, Technology, and Video Planning. The station connects with the university community through regular audio broadcasts (100 minutes each in the morning, noon, and evening) and video broadcasts (11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM at Café Harang). Additionally, CUBS serves as a communication channel by hosting annual events such as the Broadcasting Festival, video contests, and visual radio programs that listen to and share student stories.

Songsim Journal

The "Songsim Journal" at The Catholic University of Korea's Songsim Campus has a long history as a progressive and accurate publication, beginning in 1973 at the University of the Sacred Heart and continuing until the present. The journal's mission is to provide high-quality cultural content to the university community and to generate progressive discourse that challenges mainstream theories, thereby creating an alternative forum for ideas and promoting democratic governance at the university. The "Songsim Journal" carries forward the spirit of its predecessors, aiming to foster progressive public opinion through the publication of thoughtful and forward-looking manuscripts that detect societal changes and prepare for the future while also serving as a platform for participation and debate among intellectuals.
