Introducing "GadaeSarang,"
an Institutional Club
for Development Fund Promotion
Sharing Hearts and Spreading Values, Ambassadors of the Development Fund "GadaeSarang"
We are GadaeSarang, a passionate group dedicated to spreading the culture of giving and sharing, fostering connections between current students and alumni, and driving fundraising efforts. United by love, we tirelessly work across the campus to make a difference every day!
GadaeSarang is an institutional club under the External Affairs Team, part of the University Advancement Corps. Our club operates with three main goals: first, to promote the university's development projects both on and off campus; second, to plan and execute events that enhance the culture of giving and school spirit; and third, to organize events that boost pride and communication among alumni. Established in the second semester of 2018, GadaeSarang has grown over seven years and currently consists of 15 members. Some of our notable activities include the "GOTCHA Event Series" to promote the culture of giving, networking events like "Successful Alumni of CUK" and "CU AGAIN" that connect alumni and current students, and snack events to encourage students during exam periods.
Thanks to the heartfelt support and extensive administrative backing from the External Affairs Team, GadaeSarang enjoys the advantage of student-led autonomy, allowing us to directly plan and execute a wide range of events. Members also benefit from opportunities for specialized education, scholarships, ELP points, and having their activities recorded in their academic transcripts. The time we spend working together helps to build strong bonds of friendship and trust among our members.
GadaeSarang is divided into three teams: Planning, Public Relations, and Reporting, each specializing in different areas. The roles of each team are as follows:
Planning
Create fun and meaningful fundraising events, proposing creative and innovative ideas
Public Relations
Manage and activate GadaeSarang's social media channel, create promotional materials such as posters and videos, and design freely
Reporting
Write articles like "Sharing Stories" and "Mass for Donors" and conduct interviews with donors
While GadaeSarang takes on a variety of significant projects within the university, joining the club isn’t difficult. Anyone who loves The Catholic University of Korea is welcome to become a member.
