The Carbon Neutrality Institutional Club, "COz"
Be COz for Earth, for us!
We are COz, the only carbon neutrality institutional club at The Catholic University of Korea, established in 2022 to address the rapidly changing climate and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Starting with our first cohort in September 2022, we have been researching carbon neutrality practices and organizing various programs and campaigns to help all members of the university community participate in carbon neutrality efforts.
COz is committed to leading the way, not just for the benefit of a few, but to ensure that everyone can live equitably and safely on Earth.
COz Structure
Planning Department
This department is composed of students who are leaders in carbon neutrality and who plan activities that can be practiced by all students on campus.
Public Relations Department
This team manages the Instagram account @cuk_coz, sharing the various activities of COz and acting as a communication channel to receive feedback from students. They also create posters related to carbon neutrality to encourage student participation and raise awareness.
Administration Department
This department is responsible for drafting rules and regulations to ensure smooth club operations.
COz Accomplishments
- Installed umbrella water removers and tumbler cleaning stations
- Set up scrap paper collection boxes
- Held three tumbler events
- Organized the Earth Hour campaign
- Collected and addressed campus lighting issues
