Theological Library
The Theological Library is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and managing an extensive range of academic and research materials essential for training the clergy who will lead the future of the Korean church. Over 67% of the library's collection is composed of religious and adjacent academic fields. As a central hub for theological research, befitting the oldest theology department in Korea, the library upholds its status as a premier theological library by providing specialized databases and audiovisual materials.
The library received the 6th Korea Environment and Culture Award for Excellence in Architecture on October 25, 1995, recognizing its functionality, convenience, design, and eco-friendliness. This prestigious award was co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Economic Daily. In 2005, to celebrate The Catholic University of Korea's 150th anniversary, the library underwent an expansion, adding a basement and two floors, resulting in its current form.
