Renovations on the 2nd floor, including the main lobby, 1st Reading Room, conference room, and media room, were completed on Sunday, December 1, allowing students to start using these spaces from Monday, December 2. Earlier, in September 2023, the Central Library began its transformation by building a preservation archive on the 1st floor. Throughout 2024, additional renovations were carried out, including updates to the 2nd-floor's main square and the 3rd floor’s 1st and 2nd resource rooms, lending services, and the Research Commons. These spaces are now fully operational and in use.
Meanwhile, by building the <CUK Innovation Hub>, the Central Library aims to upgrade library spaces, content, and services to foster a culture of self-directed research, provide an inspiring environment for learning, collaboration, and meaningful interactions, and to promote a creative and cooperative research culture within the university community.
