'2024 White Coat Ceremony' was held for students on  fifth grade of the College of Pharmacy who are about to participate in the on-the-job training on the 30th at the Nicholas Cardinal Cheong Pharmacy Hall(NP).

 The white coat ceremony is an event in which students participating in on-the-job training pledge to comply with bioethics through vow and become pharmacists with a sense of duty and expertise. This ceremony was held for 33 students on the fifth grade at the College of Pharmacy.

 To encourage the prospective pharmacists' first step, a large number of guests attended at the white coat ceremony including Vice-President Na Gun, Office of Campus Ministry's Head Lim Min-kyun, College of Pharmacy's  Dean Cho Yong-yeon, Head of the Seoul St. Mary's Hospital Kang Jin-sook, Head of Pharmacy of the Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Ahn Seong-sim UM, Chairman Lim Hee-won of the Bucheon-City Pharmaceutical Association, and faculty members of the College of Pharmacy.

 The event began with the prayer of priest Lim Min-kyun, head of Office of Campus Ministry and followed by △ Vice-President's congratulatory speech △ White coat wearing ceremony △ Hand blessing △ DIOSCORIDÉS vow △ Field training institution's congratulatory speech △ Speech of College of Pharmacy's Dean.

 After reading Vow of Dioscorides as representative, Lee Tae-hoon, the fifth-grade student solemnly pledged to become a professional pharmacist who contribute all life to the welfare of mankind.

 Professor Cho Yong-yeon, head of the College of Pharmacy, cheered the students saying, "I hope students will become a pharmacist who heals not only patient's body but also patient's mind."

 At the white coat ceremony, 33 CUK students from College of Pharmacy who received the white coat will participate inon-the-job training at △ Seoul St. Mary's Hospital △ Bucheon-si Regional Pharmacy △ Seoul National University Pharmaceutical Factory △ Public institutions. After that, each laboratory of CUK College of Pharmacy plans to acquire specialized knowledge in pharmaceutical research through in-depth pharmaceutical research practice.
