On the 24th, the ROTC 2024 Summer Training Camp Departure Ceremony took place at the Michael Hall.

 President Jong-chul Won, accompanied by Su-won Kim, the ROTC Commander, Father Min-kyun Im, chaplaincy director, and military studies professors, attended to honor the students embarking on their training.

After the ceremony, 43 ROTC cadets, including 22 from the 63rd class and 21 from the 64th class, will undergo specialized training from July 1st to August 23rd. The training curriculum includes 11 subjects such as tactical maneuvers, squad operations, and individual combat skills, amounting to 160 hours in total.

President Jong-chul Won, in his congratulatory speech, said, "I'm so proud of the ROTC students attending the summer training camp during a time when national security is under threat." He encouraged them, saying, "I hope that through this training, you will return healthier and with even greater personal growth." 

Se-young Shin, a 4th-year student majoring in French Language and Culture and a ROTC cadet, said, "Despite the heat, I will actively engage in all training activities alongside my comrades without setbacks," and added, "My goal is to uphold the esteemed reputation of Catholic University's ROTC."
